Who We Are

An initiative of the European chapters of The Mars Society

The European Way to Mars was born from the shared conviction of several national chapters of The Mars Society in Europe: to speak with one voice and help Europe play a meaningful role in Mars exploration and the emerging Space Economy.

For decades, The Mars Society has been the global reference community advocating for the human exploration and settlement of Mars. Across Europe, national chapters have grown independently, each with its own history, culture and network.

The European Way to Mars is the result of an unprecedented effort to bring these chapters together around a common European perspective: coordinating activities, sharing knowledge and building joint initiatives with universities, companies, institutions and space agencies.

The project was publicly launched with the first pan-European webinar gathering the national chapters listed below. It is now growing into a permanent organization open to individuals, companies, universities and institutions willing to contribute.

A shared European voice for Mars

The European Way to Mars is open to individuals, companies, universities and institutions who share this vision. Together we can shape Europe's contribution to the next great chapter of human exploration.
